WHAT IS REACH AND TEACH?

Reach and Teach is an educational program geared toward business, marketing, and career tech students in grades 9-12. The Reach and Teach program is the ultimate project-based learning experience. Through Reach and Teach, students not only gain content knowledge, but also essential life skills, such as communication and teamwork.

HOW ARE CAMPUS TOUR AND CONCERT TOUR DIFFERENT?​
​
Both programs are free with enrollment and include a 9 - 13 week complete curriculum with lesson plans, handouts, resources, and professional development.
​
Campus Tour provides the opportunity for students to plan, promote and produce a real entertainment broadcast (essentially, a TV Show) that will be viewed by thousands of people worldwide.
​
Concert Tour provides the opportunity for students to plan, promote and execute a real concert on their own school campus.
​

WHICH PROGRAMS REQUIRE OFFICIAL ENROLLMENT?​
​
All Reach and Teach programs and resources are free to use. However, official enrollment and a commitment of completion are required for both Campus Tour and Concert Tour. To officially enroll in either of these programs, the enrollment form must be completed, signed by approved school representatives, and emailed to april@reachandteach.rocks.

IS ENROLLMENT FREE?​
​
Yes! Enrollment is simple and free but does require a commitment of completion.

WHY CAN'T I ACCESS THE LESSON PLANS?​
​
All Campus Tour and Concert Tour lesson plans are password protected and only available for use by officially enrolled schools.

CAN REACH AND TEACH BE IMPLEMENTED VIRTUALLY?​
​
Campus Tour can easily be implemented into virtual, hybrid, or in-person classrooms while effectively following the CDC pandemic guidelines. The Interview Series and Map My Journey are both designed to be used virtually or traditionally. Unfortunately, Concert Tour cannot be implemented virtually.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?​
​
Campus Tour and Concert Tour are provided to educational institutions FREE of charge. In order to provide the Reach and Teach programs at no cost, schools must allow Reach and Teach to promote their official sponsors throughout the duration of the program. Representatives and industry professionals affiliated with our official sponsors are also provided opportunities to mentor students during the nine-week program. All Reach and Teach sponsors are carefully vetted and age-appropriate.

CAN IT BE USED AS A FUNDRAISER?​
​
Yes! Schools are encouraged to use both Campus Tour and Concert Tour as a fundraiser. No funds are ever exchanged between Reach and Teach and the enrolled school. Therefore, schools keep 100% of all profits gained during participation. Revenue can be generated through sponsorship, ticket and merchandise sales, product placement, or any creative means developed by students. Campus Tour includes a competition element that results in the potential of winning an educational grant in addition to any funds raised throughout the program.

WHAT IS THE IMPACT?​
​
Studies show “81% of dropouts say relevant, real-world learning opportunities would have kept them in high school.” The mission of Reach and Teach is to provide these types of real-world learning opportunities to ensure at-risk students have space to “plugin” and find their passion while building their confidence.
