Cameron Flener

Co-Founder & Board President

Cameron "Cam" Flener is the founder and lead singer of the world-famous Velcro Pygmies, an 80’s rock cover band known for high-energy performances across the globe. Beyond the stage, he is passionate about inspiring the next generation as co-founder and board president of Reach and Teach, where he helps students discover their passions through hands-on learning and career exploration.


Cam lives in Villa Rica, GA, with his wife, Karey, their dogs, and pet squirrel.

 

Former teacher turned nonprofit founder, April Clark brings her classroom experience to students everywhere through the Reach and Teach program. She serves as a public speaker, presenter, Career Coach,  and executive strategist for RNT, helping shape programs that inspire and engage.
 
Outside of work, April enjoys family time, church activities, and travelling. She lives in Killen, AL, with her husband, David, and their children, Darby and Jesse.

Johnita Romine

Executive Director

A former Business Education teacher, Johnita Romine brings her classroom experience to her role as Director at Reach and Teach. She is also a former Reach and Teach alumna, having participated in the program’s third-ever session at Lee High School in Huntsville.

Outside of work, Johnita enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and watching movies. She lives in Huntsville, AL, with her husband, Michael, and their children, John Michael and Baylee.


 

Tony Pierce is the Chief Creative Officer for Reach and Teach, overseeing the graphics, promotions, and creative vision behind the program. He is a graphic designer at Dynmark Graphics, coaches his son’s soccer team, and enjoys camping.

A musician at heart, Tony performs in the band Three Hundred East with his two sons. He lives in Muncie, Indiana, with his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Aidan and Cooper.

Ashlyn Stutts

Programs Manager

Ashlyn Stutts is the Programs Manager for Reach and Teach, where she leads a team of eight and works with schools to create hands-on learning experiences that help students explore careers and discover their passions.

Outside of work, she enjoys life on her farm, antique and thrift shopping, exploring the outdoors, and traveling. She lives in Leighton, AL, with her husband, Dylan, and their daughter, Haven.

CJ Barnette

ImaginEx Audio Production Mentor

Caleb Ballard is the Show Production Mentor for the ImaginEx team, where he introduces students to the world of lighting design. He is also a full-time lighting designer for Waddup Entertainment, traveling with bands to run their productions.

Outside of work, Caleb enjoys playing tennis, spending time outdoors, and attending concerts (the ones he’s not working!). He lives in Houston, Mississippi, with is girlfriend, Amanda, and their dog, Penny.

CJ Barnette is the Audio Production Mentor on the ImaginEx team, where he introduces students to the world of audio and sound. He is also a full-time audio engineer, traveling with the band Get Sideways and managing in-house production for Tin Roof Birmingham.

Outside of work, CJ enjoys playing cards, listening to music, and gaming. He lives in Birmingham, AL, with his girlfriend, Ashley.

Carolina Mooring is the Programs Coordinator for Reach and Teach, where she oversees the planning and execution of live events, ensuring every detail runs smoothly on event day. She works closely with the team to create engaging experiences for students and participants, helping bring each program to life.

Outside of work, Carolina enjoys theater, spending time with friends, and traveling to explore new places and experiences. She lives in Florence, AL.

Darby Clark

ImaginEx Film & Television Mentor
& Content Creator

Darby Clark is the Film and Television Mentor for the ImaginEx program and serves as the Reach and Teach videographer. She introduces students to videography, photography, and directing while also creating content for Reach and Teach’s social media platforms. In addition, Darby works with the wedding videography company Awaken Films and does freelance projects for local realtors.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and her boyfriend, Dawson, watching baseball, and playing tennis.

Jaxon Hubbard is an Entertainment Business Mentor, where he introduces students to the world of graphic design and different careers within the entertainment industry. He also works as a freelance graphic designer, contract worker, and drums with the Velcro Pygmies.

Outside of work, Jaxon enjoys attending concerts, playing drums, and watching football. He lives in Tuscaloosa, AL, with his girlfriend, Nicole.

Ethan Smith

ImaginEx Entertainment Business Mentor & Content Creator

Ethan Smith is an Entertainment Business Mentor, where he introduces students to careers and opportunities within the entertainment industry. He is also a musician in the band Skorpion Deathlok and works at Counts Brothers Music in Muscle Shoals, AL.

Outside of work, Ethan enjoys spending time with his family, participating in church activities, and playing music. He lives in Cherokee, AL, and is soon to be married to his fiancée, Mikay.

Dakota Copeland is a mentor on the ImaginEx team, working with both the Entertainment Business and Film and Television booths. He is a graphic designer who creates apparel for professional wrestlers, with his work recently featured in a Netflix show.

Outside of work, Dakota enjoys watching wrestling, playing guitar, and performing in his band, Skorpion Deathlok. He lives in Cherokee, AL.
